U-value & Other Thermal Characteristics of the DRYVIT System
The Thermal Transmittance Coefficient, U-value, of a building element where the DRYVIT thermal insulation system is applied, is calculated by the following formula:
**U-value = 1 / (R ETICS + R SUBSTRATE + Rse + Rsi) [m².K/Watt]**
Where:
- **R ETICS**: The Thermal Resistance of the DRYVIT system.
- **R SUBSTRATE**: The Thermal Resistance of the substrate surface of the building element.
- **Rse**: The Thermal Resistance of the External Surface of the building element.
- **Rsi**: The Thermal Resistance of the Internal Surface of the building element.
**R ETICS – RD – Render [m².K/Watt]**
Where:
- **RD**: The Thermal Resistance of the insulation materials and layers of the DRYVIT system.
- **Render = 0.02 m².K/Watt**: The Mean Thermal Resistance of the external coatings of the insulation materials in the DRYVIT system (based on laboratory tests).
