Detailed Description of the DRYVIT System

The Dryvit thermal insulation system is an American external building thermal insulation system that combines thermal insulation materials such as expanded or extruded polystyrene panels, or mineral wool, and the finishing products of the globally known Thermal Insulation Systems Company, Dryvit.

The Dryvit thermal insulation system offers a comprehensive solution for the thermal insulation of exterior surfaces of buildings, significantly reducing energy losses and consumption of heating-cooling resources by up to 40%.

The Dryvit thermal insulation system can be applied to various exterior surfaces such as on bare concrete surfaces, “fair face” finishes, traditional coatings, prefabricated exterior walls, OSB, or tiles.

A typical Dryvit thermal insulation system with expanded polystyrene panels on a concrete or brick surface consists of:

  1. Dryvit Drymesh Plus Adhesive
  2. Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) (EPS100) Panels (Thermal Resistance 100KPa, Density 20kg/m³, Thickness from 3cm and up)
  3. Base Coat, Primus M Dryvit or Genesis DM Dryvit with Elastic Fibers for Crack Resistance
  4. Reinforced Fiberglass Mesh Dryvit embedded into the base coat
  5. Colored Prime S Dryvit Primer (Prepares the surface for the final coating, allowing for uniform application of the paint)
  6. Finishing Coating Finish Dryvit
  7. Top Coat for Protection from Algae, Coating “Acryl Top Coat” by Dryvit (Provides an additional protective layer and enhances resistance to harsh weather conditions)
  8. Plastic Anchors (Plastisole) for reinforcing insulation panels, ensuring the stability and attachment of the panels to the building’s surface
  9. Dryvit’s Paint (Dryvit Exterior Paint) specifically formulated for use on external surfaces, ensuring weather resistance, durability, and aesthetic appeal

For Dryvit systems applied on gypsum board or other internal surfaces, OSB panels and other auxiliary materials are used according to the specific case.

For Dryvit systems applied on aerated concrete, mineral wool materials are used.
